About 2 weeks ago i was havin this dream, I was out in my backyard by Nikki's (my dogs) house and all the sudden this MONSTER snake that was like as big as my dog came creepin from under the fence. I FREAKED out, jumped on the tramp to try and get away from it, but then like 5 more came..and they started to come up on the tramp. Conveniently, a ladder was set up to the roof of our shed. I ran over to the shed and got on the roof, and knocked the ladder down so i would be safe. Then, i kid you not, like thousands of these ginormous snakes take over my back yard, and break into the house. Then in the kitchen window, i see Emma. Then i see these snakes start to eat Emma! I JUST WATCHED MY LITTLE SISTER DIE! WHAT THE HELL!! the end...then i wake up. When i woke up i was sweating, panting, and crying..seriously i havent done that since i was just little. It was terrible...Now why in the world did i dream this?? Them Sam suggests that we look it up on google and see what dream interpretations say.. this is what i found...
According to Freud’s classic dream interpretation theory, a snake featured in a dream represents a phallic symbol that could relate to a male figure, male energy or how you experience your sexuality. Interpreting what your dream about snakes means does not stop there however. To fully understand its meaning, you need to look deeper into the interpretation of this rich symbol.
What Does it Mean to Dream about Snakes?
To get start interpreting what dreaming about snakes means, here are the most common meanings associated with snakes in dreams:
- A snake is a symbol of the unconscious
- Snakes or serpents indicate you’re in the process of healing and resolving issues
- The snake is a symbol for an untamed part of yourself or an untapped resource
- Snakes could represent your intuition or spiritual aspects of yourself; your instinctual drive, what moves you from the depths of your soul
- Snakes or serpents tend to show up in dreams in times of transition and transformation
- From the classic Freudian perspective, a snake or serpent is a phallic symbol
Generally, a snake featured in a dream means that you’re dealing with a difficult situation or unsettling emotions in your waking life. On the positive side of this dream analysis, dreaming of snakes could also mean that healing and transformation are taking place.
See that guyzz, i think its right...difficult situation? check. Transition? check. Transformation? check. Resolving issues? check. Healing?? CHECK!
Ok so next dream..It was the night after my snake dream. I lay down and i think to myself...ok happy thoughts Mandy. No bad dreams. Wrong, i got another bad one. I dunno why! So it was me and my sister Jessie home, and we were babysitting my uncle Toms dog. Jessie went to take the dog out, and asked me in a weird way to go downstairs in her bathroom and get her the hairspray...odd question, but i said yes and headed down stairs. As i walked down stairs and looked down the hall to the end where the bathroom is, i noticed that a window was open and the ceiling was panel things(like you see at school that lift-out) I didnt think much of it and proceeded to head to get the hairspray. Then i heard a panel in the ceiling move, then a rope dropped and hooked me around the neck! Then i was HUNG! As this was happening i looked up to see what was going on. And then i saw it was my sisters boyfriend (the one we all dispise) hanging me. MY SISTER SET ME UP TO BE HUNG! There are no words for this one! This what i found about this dream...
Meaning of Dreams about Hanging
Hanging: To watch a hanging in your dream, represents your feelings of insecurity. Consider also the image as a pun for something in your life which you have left hanging or unfinished. To dream that you are hanging up clothes, suggests that you are clarifying your thoughts and elevating yourself to a new state of awareness.
Woah... ok weird! So the insecurity thing really rings a bell. After my last break up, I felt as thought there was something wrong with me and got pretty insecure about myself and how i was living my life. Ok makes sense. Then the unfinished or unsettled part? WOW! At the time of this dream we(me and Christian) were broken up but still talking and maybe going to try things again.. So it was VERY unresolved and unfinished. I felt as though i couldnt talk to him about it cause i was risking an arguement and heaven forbid we argue! I was so scared of loosing him i just sucked it all up. Glad i quit doin that!! Lesson learned!
So morally of the story here is that those crazy wacky people that talk about the moon and stars and your birhtday and dreams and how it explains things...flip they might be onto something! Now lets hope that these messed up dreams are over with and i can now dream about bunnies, rainbows and happy things..
